Peanut Butter Frosting Recipe

After epic failing my first try at Peanut Butter Frosting the other day, I tried again only this time I was using my own recipe and brand name peanut butter (I think I'd taken Jif for granted before) so anyway, I came up with a pretty awesome recipe of my own, if I do say so myself... and I thought maybe some of you would like to have it. I hope you like it if you try it! And be sure to use brand name peanut butter!!

  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar, divided
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk

  1. Beat butter and peanut butter with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Add 1/2 cup confectioners sugar and beat again until creamy. stir. Add the other 1/2 cup confectioners sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed about 1 minute or until light and fluffy. Stir again then put on cake or brownies.

Oh, thank you, thank you!!! Hopefully I will be able to make this sometime soon! I just "discovered" a kitchenette in our dorm! YES!!! Hahaha, I'm not sure if I'm going to have energy for that. But it will give me energy because it's peanut butter, right? :)
I will email you today if I have time.
P.S. Can you tell that I'm excited?

Hi Chelsea, I visit your mom's blog often. I'm going to share your blog with my daughter Micaela when she gets home from camp. I know she'll love it. She loves to bake too. This looks delicious. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

This cake is sounding even better right now because we have been here one full day, eaten four meals in the cafeteria, and I have not seen one speck of real chocolate! There was white cake with canned frosting last night but that definitely does not count. :) I didn't have time to email you yesterday, I'll tell you about it later. I think today is going to be busier, but we'll see what happens.
Cielle! {lol hopefully no one who speaks French reads this blog because they would be really confused. :)}
